I spoke at Roherestown Elementary School in November 2018 and challenged students to complete 3 kind acts in one day. So many students completed 3 kind acts. Their kindness can change the world. Check out all of their kind acts below!

- Helped Mommy with the dogs.

- Letting first graders pass on the stairs at recess.
- Gave Mommy a present (a drawing).
- Asked Sammy to stop teasing Colton.

- I help the door open for people at school.
- I helped my mom carry boxes to our basement.
- I got my brother’s book for him so he could read.

- I helped Mr. Tom clean up leaves with the leaf blower.

- If somebody fell down ask if they are ok, and ask if they want to play with you.
- If somebody was sitting on the buddy bench play with them.
- If a bully was bullying your friend tell them to please stop.

- Only one simple kind act to one another can turn their day around into a positive.
- One example is if you see a new student in your grade, all you have to do is greet them and that could make him or her really happy.
- Another act of kindness is when you see someone confused or nervous about something in class you could simply as “Do you need any help?” and help.
Amelia, 4th grader
- I help the teacher at the end of the day. I had helped by putting up chairs, picking up pencils, and picking up any paper/scraps.
- While dismissal I didn’t know her, but I remembered her, kindly, that her backpack was open. If I didn’t say anything, everything would’ve fallen out.
- This wasn’t much, but I complimented my teacher on her earrings. They were very pretty.
- Now, I’ve done many more but I can’t fit more.
Josiah, 4th grader
- I helped my brother do his homework.
- I reminded some people to sign up for lunch and do their morning routine.
- I played with my friend when he had no one else to play with at recess.

- I can tell Mrs. Miller, “Thanks for teaching us.”
- I would say to Mr. Fisher “You are a great cleaner. I don’t know what we would do without you.”
- Last, I’ll look for the good in bullies and ask to play with them politely.

- Help someone with homework.
- Get a teacher if they are hurt.
- When a friend is going on their bus or going to the car rider line you can ask if their iPad needs to be charged.

- I help a classmate tie his shoe.
- I ask people if they want to sit with me or play at recess with me if they are lonely.
- I am respectful to my classmates and try to make them happy.
